My g/f thinks mabey she might be can she stop it by taking birth control? If you found out your pregnant, can you stop it by taking birth control?
*The first, is using certain herbs to induce miscarriage, also called herbal abortion. It is not a sure way to terminate pregnancy, and seems to work about 40-45% of the time, IF herbs are started early enough. If herbal abortion is attempted and is not successful it is very important to follow up with a clinical abortion, as the herbs can cause birth defects and or complications during pregnancy. Herbs are most commonly used during the time period when an embryo is developing the foundations for all of the major body systems, organs in particular. This occurs from developmental weeks 4 through 8, which is the time that herbs are used. This is why, it is so important to follow up with a clinical abortion if the herbs don't work. The risk of causing damage is very real. Just because this is something you can do at home, doesn't make it safe or without risk. There can be negative effects to you, or to any pregnancy carried to term. Just like they say, just because its natural doesn't make it safe.

Take 6-10 grams of ascorbic acid - vitamin C a day for 5-10 days. Specifically ascorbic acid. Don't use vitamin C with bioflaviniods in it. Look for the cheap generic brands, they are usually the ones that have pure ascorbic acid. Don't use anything that has Rose-hips in it. Doses consisting of one 500 mg tablet per hour are most common. The vitamin C -ascorbic acid- works to produce an unfavorable climate within the uterus so that the egg does not implant, or cannot maintain its grip on the uterine wall. By stimulating estrogen, and possibly interfering with progesterone. Thus making it useful as an emergency contraceptive, when taking it before implantation occurs. Progesterone is needed to prepare the uterus to receive the egg, the uterine lining builds up each month, and if the egg is not fertilized then this is what becomes the menstrual blood, when the lining is shed to prepare for the next cycle.

Abortion: There is a Consensus
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsSQiazUv…If you found out your pregnant, can you stop it by taking birth control?
No, birth control is a contraceptive that you take before hand while your having unprotected sex to avoid getting pregnant. Or if she is pregnant you can always get the plan B pill which has to be taken before 72 hrs of the day you had sex.
I suggest she should go to a drug store get a pregnancy test. Now, if you don't want to keep the baby there always abortion ( which I'm not really for) or giving it up for adoption those are your only options. Hope that helped good luck !
No, she should have been taking birth control BEFORE she got pregnant - that would have prevented it. If it's only been 72 hours or less since you had sex, then she can take the morning after pill which should prevent pregnancy - it's more effective the quicker she takes it though.
No.
If she doesnt know if shes pregnant, she needs to take a pregnancy test. She can take it when she misses her period.
The only to stop a pregnancy is abortion. The only way to have an abortion is to go to a clinic.
she can ';stop it';.... stop what? she is already pregnant. and no. it will only harm the baby. DUH. it will have tons of health problems. maybe mental or physical. or both. if you didn't know that you shouldn't even be having sex. and neither should your girlfriend.
Huh? birth control tricks your body into thinking you're already pregnant, so, it would kind of defeat the purpose.....
Anyway, WHY would you have unprotected sex in the first place!?
Not really, that's pregnancy PREVENTION not the abortion pill
No, she can't, it doesn't work that way. Birth control will not ';stop'; a pregnancy unless you take it before you ever have sex in the first place.
So unless she can travel through time...
LOL. no, but a tampon might prevent the child from coming out. tell her to try that in nine months,
damn, education today. what are teachers teaching?
no, depending on how far she is (days) she can get the morning after pill because it works up to 72 hours after sex, but birth control will not stop the pregnancy
Nope. You're going to be a daddy.
Birth control needs to be used perfectly every day before sex to work well.
You definitely shouldn't be having sex. Because, That question speaks of an extreme lack of knowledge about sex.
no, in fact most of the time taking birth control while pregnant only leads to a deformed or unhealthy baby.
No. If that was possible, do you really think we'd have 800,000 pregnant teenage girls in the United States every year?
NO and continuing to take the birth control could be very bad for the baby.
Sorry kiddo. Sh!t outta luck.
Oh well.
No. Birth control prevents pregnancy, it will not abort a healthy baby.
No, it would only hurt the baby. Please don't let her. Talk to your parents about it, they will help you.
NO!!!!! No no no no no. A million times NO.
this is a really dumb question. birth control after shes pregant will NOT help.
She's dumb... and wrong.
Birth control will not terminate a pregnancy.
If you don't know the info's on sex, you shouldn't have allowed Mr.Willy to have his fun. Stupid people.
