How much should it cost to replace upper & lower control arms on an 03 Dodge Stratus?

The guy said the Ball Joints can't just be replaced and that the upper %26amp; lower control arms would have to be replaced, then the car will have to be aligned. I have to say that I would take it to another mechanic for a second opinion. I have to agree and say that it just does not seem probable that you need all of them replaced at the same time. However if you are just wanting to get a price on some used parts the best way to do that is try this website that I always use. I use a website called www.salvageparts.biz . The way it works is you enter the type of vehicle that you have and the part you need and your request will be sent out to a bunch of different junkyards. these junkyards will email you back with a price on the part you are requesting and what is great about it is that you are not under any obligation to buy from any of them. the reason that I like it is you can get a really good idea on how much your part should cost becaue you will be getting several different quotes. that way you know if someone is trying to price you the parts to high or not. I seriously doubt you need upper and lower control arms on both sides. I would get it to another shop and get a second opinion. That car doesn't even have an upper control arm, the strut goes through the bearing plate.
